Good for you, girl! Keep up this motivation and you'll be crossing off days nonstop! A routine is great and is the best way to see the best results. Just a word of caution: make sure that eating dinner doesn't equal not working out. Try to eat a light healthy carb right after work, then workout and have a healthy, protein-packed dinner. Also, as for the soda - it is terrible for you and you are most likely addicted to the caffeine or sugar, and the diet ones are even worse with artificial sweeteners tha...... more

Hi there! Yes, of course my program will help, but 160 pounds is ambitious and you must, you MUST, YOU MUST follow the calendar religiously! Remember, the more you have initially to lose the more you lose initially. Beware the plateau though, as you become more accustomed to working out your body will need to be challenged more, but I guarantee that with your increased energy and health you will be happy to! One more thing, please be careful, motivate yourself and push yourself, but do not be too hard o...... more

Hey ChangelsLove, sorry I have been MIA, but I want you to know that I hear ya! I hope you have been keeping with the program. Really, the best thing to do is to eat properly, and remember, you are still young and growing and need to fuel your body. Your best bet is to eat six small meals a day and consume enough calories to sustain you (you're young and active, so you need them), while maintaining a calories deficit of about 500 (the amount of calories consumed minus the amount burned is your deficit)....... more

Hey again, Rach - just inflate and deflate the Transformer a couple times to allow the rubber to stretch and work at its optimal ability and then just go to town! Uh, this may be too obvious, but you're wearing sneakers, right? If not please invest in accurate footwear - running or aerobics shoes are ideal. Go to your local athletic shoe store and ask for assistance. You should definitely not be working out without proper shoes, or barefoot for that matter!... more

I think you're on the right path - just remember a good rule of thumb is carbs before workout and protein after. It is best to give yourself fuel for the workout, but if you do not want to eat breakfast and want to workout right away, make sure to at least drink a full 8 oz. of water before, during and after, then eat eggs and oatmeal for breakfast, and an added bonus: green tea helps burn calories throughout the day, so drink 3 cups!!... more

Hey N-J08! The Wii is a great tool and it should have said "Hot Mama!" Barry's Wii Workout Bootcamp is a great idea, and I am not too worried about the Biggest Loser (which a great concept and a great show) since I personally trained its host Allison Sweeney!!!!! As for calories burned, it really depends on what you're doing so check out this site: http://www.wiihealthy.com/gamenews/wii-sports-weight-loss-program/... more

Hey Barry! I just had to share these stories with you! Like I told you I’m been going to “Boot Camp” classes at the gym with my friend from work. Well to tell you the truth I found most of the class too easy for me after using your workouts. But I like having the trainer there so I stay in good form. But after the class my friend looked at me and said, “My arms are shaking!” I said really? We only did 15 minutes of arms! She said, “I don’t work my upper body that much. But you do I can tell.” I just smiled and said, “Barry man!” Every thing we did in the class we did on your DVD. I told her so much about your workout she finally told her mom about it and her mom ordered it Wednesday! She is even thinking about ordering it for herself.

Now I’m even doing my DVD’s after my classes at the gym! I love working out and I never thought that would happen! YOU ARE THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO MY BODY!!!!!!!!! LOVE YA BARRY!!!!!!! ok

hey barry, i just started your program on monday and it's great feeling the burn i'm getting on upper and lower body. i bought fat burning pills months back and never took them. would you recomend taking them with the workout? i also wonder if the workout is all you need or should i still be out goin on a walk everyday. i'll be working for ups walkin around 5-8 miles a day for this next month so that should be good too. i was also wondering what my calorie intake should be for me being 240lbs. i havn't really been follwoing the eating plan, but i've basically just been eating pasta's and subs, sandwiches. no fast food anymore!

Hello Barry, I just wanted to know. I am being told that If I don't eat the correct amount of calories a day that I will end up gaining weight instead of losing. How is that possible? Wouldn't I then be burning the extra calories that I have stored if my body can't find the calories that I eat. I eat two meals a day and I try to pack in enough of the good calories. I have a rather large breakfast of cereal fruits brown rice, toast, and some form of protien. For lunch I have a large salad with variety of vegies more protein and some form of grain. My calories a day range from 400-700 calories a day. I was told that I need to have an intake of about a 1200 calories. I feel Like I am eating way too much food as it is. So Is it true I have to atleast eat the 1200 calories a day?

I feel like it isn't possible for me now...I have the hangging pouch due to the c sections and was cuious is it even possible for me to be thin again? My goal is 140, is this possible for me?

patience is the key ingredient along with really watching the content. it will come but in its own time, not according to your watch. But trust me it comes. I remove ALL sugar and no soda; and rely on chicken and egg whites a lot; and make sure to be working out daily, working hard and burn. Make sure you aren't loading too much on fats or overdoing protein either. If you have a 4 pack you're on your way, just keep on keepin on and you'll see it soon. Meanwhile; wow, you got a four pack, that is GREAT!!
